However, for a fuller picture of the way he was led into the life of Intercession and of the costliness of such a life, I would highly recommend the book "Rees Howells Intercessor" by Norman Grubb, which is one of the most impacting reads of my life/5(34). In this important book, experienced intercessor Jennifer Eivaz offers a practical guide to effective supernatural prayer. Using biblical principles and her own experiences of spiritual breakthrough, Eivaz shows you how to shift your practical needs to the spiritual realm, take hold of your authority and pray in a way that actually makes a difference.5/5(5). Rees Howells: Intercessor. Norman Grubb explores the life story of Rees Howells. He also looks at the foundation of the Bible College of Wales at Swansea, perhaps the greatest legacy of his work, and the intercessory prayer that became the hallmark of Howells, impacting as it did on national policy and international affairs/5.

Jesus the Intercessor —The High Priest’s present work. We have so far studied the book of Hebrews in lessons which were introductory and gave us an overview of the epistle’s teaching. We now move into a deeper study of Christ’s work as our great High Priest.   The book is written in a simple, informal style. The author is trying to encourage followers of Jesus to be serious about prayer, and he provides numerous examples of different types of prayer, as well as different ways that God responds (based on his experience and the bible). In this respect the book is excellent/5. God seeks intercessors. There is a God of glory able to meet all these needs. We are told that He delights in mercy, that He waits to be gracious, that He longs to pour out His blessing; that the love that gave the Son to death is the measure of the love that each moment hovers over every human being. The book states that it will help grow within you a desire to intercede for others. Being an intercessor does not mean that you have to pray person to person. You could pray for Ukraine, the women of Nigeria, or a single person. You are praying God's word back to God on behalf of others/5(89).
